Meanwhile, easyJet has launched a sale featuring over 780,000 discounted seats, offering up to 20% off selected routes. Travelers can find deals like Gatwick to Alicante, Bristol to Malaga, and Luton to Barcelona from £18.99, and some October flights to Palma starting at £15.99.
Wizz Air is expanding its operations in Spain, establishing new bases in Valencia and Madrid this November, which is expected to heighten competition with Ryanair. Not to be outdone, Spanish airlines are also jumping into the competitive pricing fray. Vueling is offering up to 20% off on 110,000 seats, with international fares beginning at €16. Iberia provides domestic flights from €24 and selected European destinations from €29, while Air Europa’s anniversary sale features fares starting at €25.
The aggressive pricing is mainly aimed at stimulating demand following the hectic summer travel period. However, it’s important for travelers to note that these low-cost tickets typically include only a small under-seat bag. Additional charges apply for seat selection, cabin luggage, and checked bags.
